Dr. Walter Kohnke, D.D.S. attended Cal Poly and graduated with a B.S.in Biological Sciences in 1996 and graduated from UOP Dental School in 2001. Dr. Kohnke returned to the Central Coast in 2007 to begin working at CHC. Dr Kohnke currently serves as a Clinic Instructor for the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC, Division of Dental Public Health and Pediatric Dentistry as well as Adjunct Clinical Faculty for A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.

I’ve had fillings, a crown, even a root canal and tooth extractions. The filling and crown I had for my root canal that has been a hole for quite sometime, was/is excruciating with regard to the needle stuck into the back of my tongue. Plus, the way my tongue was bruised and worn raw while the procedure was taking place. I was choking on the water that was being sprayed into my mouth. And my tongue received all the abuse. Now, it’s swollen and super painful to eat and swallow. My tooth is fine…
