Lydia Butner, LCMHC, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and has been a part-time provider with HealthFirst’s School-Based Services team since August 2024. Prior to this, Lydia spent 7 years providing clinical mental health care in community mental health, college, and private practice settings in rural Kansas. She received her bachelor’s in English from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts-Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University. She has received training in play therapy, trauma care, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Lydia engages clients with a relaxed, curious, and creative style while remaining focused on helping clients build their knowledge of themselves and gain tools to help them resolve struggles and process stressors. In her time away from work, Lydia enjoys time outside with her family, game nights with friends, and baking gluten-free desserts.
