An excellent Doctor and a wonderful person

Dr. Mathur performed excellent C5-C7 fusions on me. He is caring, compassionate, and technically proficient. I had the utmost confidence in him throughout the entire process. He explained everything in a way I could thoroughly understand, and really listened to me. I have chosen him again to investigate the source of my lumbar pain. I am completely trusting in his ability!

Dr. Mather is a spectacular doctor. He comes in prepared, having read all the patient's and other doctors' notes, and has a great attitude. He's extremely professional and also extraordinarily intelligent. He thinks outside the box and, in my opinion, stands apart from all doctors and spinal specialists anywhere in or near the Triangle. He also happens to be very familiar with my previous surgeons in Texas whom are considered some of the best back surgeons in the United States. I would put him up against any spine surgeon!! The last thing, he will try to do everything to keep you out of the OR until that is perhaps your only last hope. He is simply THE BEST!!!

Dr. Mather remembered me from many years ago, when I was initially having back issues. I appreciated that. Also, he asked good questions and I felt listened to in return. All of the other staff members were cordial and understanding—the PA, x-ray tech and check-in/check-out staff. I was delayed by a traffic accident while driving to the appointment and phoned in to let them know. They told me to come in despite the hitch and I was able to complete my appointment. I have absolutely zero complaints about Dr. Mathur, I have visited him years ago for back issues. He’s a great doctor. My only issue is, they want you there 15 minutes before your appointment and they call you back an hour later so you’re there an hour and 45 minutes and you see the doctor for a total of 5 to 10 minutes. Their time is no more precious than our time. Why do they over booked appointments? That’s aggravating. It makes you consider not going back.

He understood my problem and explained to me further treatment. He is one of the best doctor.

Doctor was good - thorough, knowledgeable. However, I arrived 30 minutes early (as suggested) to fill out forms and didn't get seen for an hour and 15 minutes.

This is the Greatest doctor I have ever meet since 1992 when doctor Leonard Nelson did my lower back. But in the beginning of this year I started have sharp pain on my right side all the way down coming out of my toes. Until this month of July 2020 he found the problem from a MR I. My L2L3 was crushed down on my nerve. So on July 14th he did back surgery and he I am 8 days out with no pain at all. I love this man and his team.
