Melanie Cruz explained, very well, her role as an Assistant Audiologist vs an Audiologist. Therefore, she explained that I had to wait for an appointment with the audiologist to have the volume in my hearing aids increased.
Another concern was that I needed to ask her to repeat what she said more than once during the appointment, including when my hearing aids were removed. There were times during our conversation that she seemed annoyed that I asked her to repeat her words more than once.
My suggestion is that Melanie become more aware through training and patience with patients she serves who are dealing with challenges of hearing and understanding, especially when the professional has a distinct foreign accent.
