She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of North Texas, a Master’s in Deaf Education and Hearing Science from the University of Texas Health Science Center, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Communication Disorders and Biology from Our Lady of the Lake University.

Dr. Rivera Villarreal has extensive experience in diagnostic hearing testing, hearing aid fittings, and counseling patients and families about hearing health. She has trained and worked in a variety of settings — including hospitals, ENT practices, private clinics, and schools — where she provided care for both children and adults. Her expertise includes hearing aid troubleshooting and maintenance, vestibular evaluations, newborn hearing screenings, and working with patients who require advanced hearing technology.
She has also served veterans and military personnel through specialized hearing evaluations and is passionate about helping every patient find personalized solutions for their hearing needs.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Rivera Villarreal has attended professional conferences with the Texas Academy of Audiology and the Mayo Clinic to stay up to date on the latest advances in hearing science and technology.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Rivera Villarreal values community outreach and has volunteered at hearing screening events and educational programs to support individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
