Doesn’t stick around for any questions or to explain your medical issues. I literally had to CALL OUT to him for some explanation, as he rushed out the door after giving me a VERY painful cortisone injection. What’s next? Do I have an issue in that area? Will I be able to move normally? What if this doesn’t work, do I need surgery? So many other moment during our brief visit also concerned me… Already had surgery regarding this is that didn’t get resolved. This is second time around. Feeling like I wasn’t taken seriously about what pained me in our original visit…. I’m uncomfortable giving this kind of review but the manipulation of my body is serious to me. I was told he was a good surgeon. Personally, I want to go somewhere else (but I’ve gone through so much already with him….). Maybe I should listen to my gut

Dr. Carroll came in and spent all of 5 minutes with me. He said that the x-ray didn't didn't show anything. He never looked at my arm, or shoulder. I had to force him to look at my finger that is in pain and swollen. His response was maybe it's inflammation, and if my arm, shoulder, or finger continues to hurt, and swell to come back. He didn't prescribe pain medicine or nothing. Sent me home. After stating that I was disappointed because I've been having this pain on and off for at least 3 years. His assistant referred me to a rheumatologist. I'm still in pain and my entire right shoulder, arm, and ring finger are swollen. I don't even remember him introducing himself when he entered the room.

Excellent experience at Cary Orthopaedics. Dr. Carroll took time to review the x-rays and get the history of my son's injury. Very happy we chose Cary Orthopaedics!

Dr Carroll took time with us to explain his findings and go over all of our next steps. Kind and courteous. We have now become life long patients while our 4 sons are playing sports.

Love Dr. Carroll and his staff. They were so good with my son and putting on his cast.

Leslie was great, this rating was for Dr. Carroll. He showed little to no concern to my injury or my concerns. H made the appointment feel hurried as if he had much better places to be. I understand this was not his injury but it effects every aspect of my life and his disregard for my concerns was belittling at best.

I only saw Dr. Carroll for maybe 5 minutes. It seemed rushed, but I know he had surgeries to attend to in the afternoon. I didn't really have a chance to ask him questions. Hopefully he will have more time to spend with me on my next visit after he reviews my MRI results.

Not for Publishing: I had an MRI. I wish the doctor had taken time to show some pictures of where exactly the problems are and how they looked etc. That would educate/encourage me to respond positively to my therapy or teach me how to avoid further damage to the tendon by knowing boundaries of my activities/ limits etc . I am planing to ask this question the next time perhaps. Treatment was appropriate and measured per my needs.

FABULOUS. Thank you SO much for the information you shared with my mother - she needed to hear in frank terms that she needed to take steps to remain independent - First Alert & go to PT to help with gait. We have tried to tell her that for several years, to no avail. THANK YOU!!! Her children & grandchildren really appreciate “treating the whole person”, rather than just treating isolated symptoms. She has a habit of going to multiple doctors for individual body parts. Frustrating!!!

Doctor Carroll could not make my appointment and came in to apologize on his way out. Leslie and Wendy were BEST! She took great care of me, listened to all of my concerns and prescribed the best course of action! Dr. Carroll has surrounded himself with an A+ team so my experience was excellent.

They were both very attentive to my needs and complaints and took care of it that day and to follow through with PT and a recheck. We talked about a further Plan of Care should this not help. I liked that they listened to me and took care of my immediate needs and talk of a plan for down the road should this not help.

New patient and he came in made a suggestion to get psychical therapy and was out within 5 minutes or less without properly addressing my pain issues. Not even an offer for cortisone injections for pain relief. Not happy with this at all. Same as I was when I got there.

Love my prescription for PT and rest with ice. Hope to be power walking again by the end of the month!

Dr Carroll repaired my torn Achilles tendon about 12 years ago and I have had no problems with it since. Dr Carroll is also very attentive and does not rush through office visits.

So far excellent care from Dr Carroll. The injection he gave me has worked very well and can’t wait to see how much improvement after the next two. The entire staff has been very nice and I look forward to working with them!

Unfortunately, I feel we wasted two very painful weeks while my broken bones were supposed to heal. Maybe if I was 14 that might happen, but at 71 things only got worse.

I trust Cary Orthopaedics. First went there in 2004 to have both my knees scoped by Dr. Reinke. Dr. Carroll has helped me with both shoulders. I always recommend Cary Orthopaedics to my friends.
