After having my appointment set for 4 weeks, it was changed at the last minute, & them I had to wait a good 20 minutes for the Dr. to come in the room. He was there less than 5 minutes, & said to come back in 6 weeks. He was brushed he didn’t even take the time to address me by my name. I will be looking for a new orthopedic. Very disappointed in this experience.

Sorry, but this visit was not the best. I felt more like a number than a patient. The Dr did not even introduce himself. He sat in a chair while looking a my x-ray while I stood behind and spent less than 30 seconds discussing the results. I felt like I had to pry information from him. He seemed very distracted and uninterested in me as a patient. I would not recommend him to anyone seeking care.

From the moment he walkers in to my first appointment, I felt rushed, dismissed, treated like an ignorant, uneducated bother, invalidated and unheard. He acted as though he was the expert of my chronic conditions, when he showed by his words and actions that his understanding was very limited. It really affected me as an Autistic adult with medical PTSD, and left me trying to recover from his behavior. I am so angry that doctors like him treat their patients so badly—and don’t even attempt to learn how to have empathy and basic kindness.

My visit was brief because my x-ray from the ER was just taken a few days ago. Dr. Wade was very personable as was his nurse and everyone in the office. He gave me the best possible news about my fibula break. Because of my advanced age and a major pre-existing condition affecting my walking ability, I expected nothing but doom and gloom. He was positive and did not try to sell me anything I didn’t need. I left with a boot and instructions to come back in three weeks when he just might put me in an ankle brace. We came prepared with a list of questions and didn’t have to ask one because he got to them before we did. That’s what a great doctor does. Highly recommended.
